It has been a difficult time for all during this pandemic. Beyond the realms of the choral scene many have suffered hardships and sadness and our thoughts are with them. We see continual struggles worldwide and sympathise with them as they try and deal with their situation. Here in the UK conditions have been relaxed but awareness is still the key in learning to live with Covid
Zoom had been useful in continuing choir activity but nothing equates to live interaction with fellow choristers and our Musical Team. In line with government advice the officials of Colwyn Choir felt it was the right time to resume live rehearsals. Thus in line with government advice weekly sectional rehearsals resumed on the 19th of May on our usual rehearsal evening of Wednesday. Restrictions in numbers meant just individual sectionals could take place but as soon as the numbers allowable increased we could then return with full choir in a suitable room. We appreciate that the Rydal Penrhos School made one of their fine large rooms available for us the rehearse once again in August. We have undertaken a few private events which we have enjoyed and the emphasis for now is to be ready for that first opportunity for the choir to meet and perform to the general public. There are plans for our first concert to a full audience in October and others as we approach year end and Christmas.
Please observe all the advice given to protect yourself and others to avoid exposure to this virus. We can only hope that normality tprevails so that we can meet and entertain you safely again.
Please take care.
