The 2018 Tree of Lights Ceremony, Rhos on Sea.

On the evening of the 25th of November we again had the fortunate pleasure in being involved in annual ceremony to light the Tree of Lights in aid of St David’s Hospice Appeal

This was the 20th such ceremony and we as a choir are proud that we have been involved since the beginning. From what began as a small event literally on the pavement underneath the tree to what is now a popular event as the picture below shows.

However the mot praise should go the Rotarians of Rhos on Sea for facilitating and organising this event for such a worthy cause of St David’s Hospice. An idea that was instigated by Ken Owen who is still a member of the Rotary Club, and still the principle organiser.

Along with the Beaulah Brass Band who themselves have been part of the ceremony for many years, the crowd joined in 4 carols, heard about the work of the hospice and reflected on the blessing.
