Charity Concert for Wales Air Ambulance

The Gloucestershire Police Male Voice Choir

We had a very successful concert in St John’s Church Llandudno on Saturday the 21st of April. We had the great pleasure of being involved in a joint concert with the Gloucester shire Police Male Voice Choir.

Proceeds were in aid of the  Wales Air Ambulance.

On the evening over a thousand pounds was raised for this very worthy charity.

The Gloucestershire Police Male Voice Choir was formed in 1970 and consists of serving and retired members of the regular force, Special Constabulary and support staff together with a number of others who have an affiliation with the Police Service. In constant demand, the Choir has raised considerable sums of money for charitable causes, both within our own county and throughout the British Isles, utilising venues as diverse as churches, cathedrals, town halls, shopping malls and barns.

The Choir is much travelled, having toured Northern California, Germany, Scotland, Wales, Jersey and many areas of England. During recent years the Choir has had the honour of singing in York Minster and the Anglican Cathedral of Liverpool, as well as the cathedrals of Derby, Durham, Gloucester, Guildford, Hereford, Llandaff, Peterborough, Salisbury, Winchester and Worcester. It has also performed at venues such as Birmingham Symphony Hall, the Colston Hall Bristol, Cardiff Arms Park, the Albert Hall Nottingham, Poole Lighthouse, the Royal Albert Hall and the Fitzalan Chapel in Arundel Castle.
